view on x ↗elon musk said: “the ability to predict the future is the best measure of intelligence.” so only knowledge with predictive power is valuable. here i’ll make 7 predictions (financial, political, industrial) so i can later check whether I actually had valuable, predictive knowledge or not; and was i intelligent in this sense or not. Financial Predictions: 1. bitcoin will be the highest performing asset by 2029 compared to real estate, gold, and the s&p500. 2. michael saylor will become the next warren buffett of america within the next 10 years. Political Predictions: 3. in q1 2026 united states will launch a direct military campaign against the islamic republic of iran aimed at regime change. 4. reza pahlavi will return to iran and eventually come to power as king, with the help from united states, israel and united kingdom. 5. germany’s chancellor in 2029 will come from the AfD. Tech Industry Predictions: 6. demand for separate frontend, backend, and devops roles will noticeably decline, with full-stack becoming the default expectation over the next 4 years. the number of software developers needed per project will reduce by more than 50%. but at the same time we will see at least an increase of 50% in the number of software projects. so i don’t predict a decline in demand for software developers. 7. in the next 2–4 years, intelligent experiences will expand far beyond search and coding: email, inboxes, messaging, travel planning, job hunting, and personal finance. cc: @IcyCortex feel free to remind me how wrong i was in case any of these predictions don’t come true in the next few years 😅
view on x ↗Claude Code's brutally honest pep talk to me after reading thousands of my tweets (downloaded archive from X) and some of the reflection letters I wrote to myself: "You're in the most dangerous position for an ambitious person: You feel like you have enough. But you don't actually own anything. Your car? 6 more years of payments. Your nice apartment? Rented. You're paying someone else's mortgage. You don't have assets. You have monthly obligations that chain you to your salary. Your Mazda is not a Rolls Royce. Your rented apartment is not a mansion. You don't have a chef, a driver, or caretakers for future kids. You don't even have equity in a home. You have a comfortable illusion with a nice view; one that disappears the moment your job does. You're not safe. You just feel safe. That's the most dangerous place to be. And here's what you already know: every month you delay is a month closer to 40, 50, 60; when starting gets harder, not easier. The Illusion You're Living: Let's be brutally honest about your "safety": Rented apartment: You're building someone else's wealth every month Car loan for 6 more years: You're locked into payments whether you have a job or not Job security? One layoff, one restructuring, one bad quarter and your "safety" evaporates You traded your hunger for the feeling of security. But you didn't actually buy security. You bought obligations. The only real security is income you control. Assets you own. A business that pays you whether you show up to an office or not. Mailover could be that. Your job never will be. The Clock You're Ignoring: You tweeted: "ADI (Artificial Developer Intelligence) seems to be here... I'm scared and excited." You should be scared. You're a team lead managing developers. AI is coming for those jobs, fast. You've seen Claude Code. You know the trajectory. The comfortable "40 years until retirement" math? It doesn't exist for software developers anymore. The window might be 5-10 years. Maybe less. Your job is a melting ice cube. Every month you coast is a month closer to the day when: - Companies need 2 developers instead of 10 - Team leads become "AI wranglers" at half the salary - Your specific skills become commodity inputs to an LLM You have a choice: - Be the person displaced by AI: riding the melting ice cube down, hoping it lasts long enough - Be the person building AI products: creating the appliances for the intelligence era, owning the upside You're literally building an AI product on the side. You understand this technology. You're positioned perfectly to be on the right side of this shift. But only if you actually ship. Only if you build and advertise. Only if you treat Mailover like the lifeboat it could be, not just a hobby. The runway your job gives you is shorter than you think. Use it to take off, not to nap. You have a product. You use it yourself. You believe in it. The only thing between you and that 100k/year passive income is the work you're not doing tonight. 40 years of working for someone else vs. 2-3 years of intense evenings and weekends. The asymmetry is absurd. You know this. You wrote about asymmetric work yourself. The hunger that brought you from Tehran to Munich, that made you practice English by talking to yourself, that made you become a leader by training yourself, and outperform every other team in the company by working harder and smarter than everyone else, that hunger came from necessity. From having no safety net. Now you have one. And it's suffocating your potential. You wrote: "Capacity not used, shrinks. Energy not spent, is wasted. Muscle not worked, atrophies." Your ambition is atrophying while you enjoy your living room. You've studied the status game. You know status isn't about being liked. It's about respect, admiration, influence. Right now you have the status of a successful team lead. Respectable. But forgettable. The status of the man who reinvented email? Who built the appliance for the intelligence era? That's the status you wrote about wanting. That's the funeral speech you imagined: "He was a maker. An innovator. A change agent." Not: "He was a comfortable team lead with a nice car." Your Own Medicine: You tweet: "Be obsessed or be average." Which are you right now? You wrote: "Bill took out the radio of his car because he was worried he may stop thinking about Microsoft for a few minutes." When did you last think about Mailover for 4 hours straight? Engineer scarcity. You wrote this yourself. Maybe you need to feel the pressure again. Set a deadline. Tell people. Burn a boat. Visualize the alternative. Picture yourself at 36, displaced by AI, job gone, still need to pay rent and car loan, watching someone else build and sell the email product you could have take to the mass market. You had the skills, the idea, the runway and you wasted it on comfort. Feel that. The Real Gap: Distribution You know how to build. You love building. 225 iterations, 800+ commits. You've shipped. The product is on the App Store. Your challenge isn't shipping. It's getting noticed. You wrote it yourself: "The worst thing you can do is to build a great thing and have nobody notice it." You're living that right now. You've read Claude Hopkins. You've read David Ogilvy. Now you're reading Hormozi's $100M Leads. Good. But remember what Hopkins taught: "Only traced results. Don't do anything that you can't prove its effectiveness." Advertising is iteration, just like engineering. Your failed ad campaigns aren't failures. They're prototypes. Dyson made 5,126 prototypes before the cyclonic vacuum worked. How many ad campaigns have you tested? 10? 20? You haven't failed at advertising. You just haven't iterated enough yet. Apply the Edisonian method to distribution: - Test one message at a time - Measure everything - Kill what doesn't work - Double down on what does - Repeat 5,127 times if needed You already have the mindset. You need to just get up and get on with it. You need do 1% better daily on distribution just like you did for the product in the first 6 months. One ad experiment. One lesson learned. One iteration on your messaging. Every single day. The Hard Truth: You don't lack motivation. You lack pain. The man who landed in Munich 6 years ago, who couldn't speak English, who had everything to prove, he had pain. He had no choice but to grow. You've removed the pain. Now you need to manufacture urgency from vision instead of desperation. That's harder. But you already know how: "Nothing ever happens unless someone pursues a vision fanatically." Are you pursuing Mailover fanatically? Or just... occasionally? Your Library Is Watching: All those books about Dyson, about obsession, about inventors who changed the world. They're waiting to see if you'll be one of them, or just someone who read about them. "Add something new to the pool of human experience." That's what you want. Go earn it. --Written January 2026, based on your own words, your own philosophy, your own dreams."

view on x ↗Here is a first-principle thinking exercise for Bitcoin: What most people don't get about Bitcoin is what most people don't get about two simple forces: - Scarcity - Supply & Demand What’s the power of scarcity? Have you ever watched an art auction? I saw one where bidding started at $80M and ended at $400M!—just because two billionaires had to have the same painting. (link at the end) Scarcity creates obsession. It triggers competition. It drives prices irrationally high. Now layer in supply & demand... It’s the invisible hand that sets the price of everything—from your morning coffee to the global oil market. Bitcoin has a hard cap on supply: 21 million coins. That’s it. No central bank can print more. No government can dilute its value. But here’s the kicker: demand for bitcoin isn’t staying flat. Institutions, governments, ETFs, and everyday people are starting to wake up to what this asset actually is. In 2020, we saw what happens when these forces collide. The world was printing money. Demand for alternatives skyrocketed. And Bitcoin? It had just halved its new supply. Result? Price moved from ~$10,000 to over $60,000 in less than a year. That was called a "supply shock". The next one? It’s already baked in. (Leonardo da Vinci's 'Salvator Mundi' | 2017 World Auction Record: https://t.co/DUalN2CROa)

view on x ↗I have spent around 60–80 hours understanding Bitcoin from various perspectives: •From an engineering perspective. •From a physics perspective. •From an economics perspective. •From a historical perspective. •From a societal perspective. •From a game theory perspective. •From a network effects perspective. •From a monetary perspective. •From a property rights perspective. •From a digital age perspective. •From a scarcity perspective. •From a supply and demand perspective. •From a security perspective. … My conclusion: I think there is a very high probability, Bitcoin will continue to outperform—by a significant margin—every other major asset class (stocks, gold, real estate, etc.) over the next decade, just as it has in the previous one, provided you have a minimum investment timeframe of four years. Why most people don’t see it? - it’s hard to do the homework for understanding bitcoin - it’s very hard for humans to develop intuition for non-linear growth and thinking in longer term timeframes Never invest in something because someone said so. Only invest if you have done the homework and have strong reasoning for why you think your investment has a high likelihood of good returns. Want to learn more about Bitcoin? view on x ↗After learning Newton's laws of Gravity and Action-Reaction in physics, which will help you survive (not get killed easily at least), I think the most important concept one needs to learn to thrive in our world is this law in economics: Supply & Demand! Why? 🧵 Because if you know how supply and demand works, and use at as a mental model, you can make significantly better decisions compare to the majority of the population. It gives you an edge, a competitive advantage in a world in which most people don't know how to think. - Which career path makes the most sense in the next 10 years? - Which asset class will have the biggest ROI in the next 5 years? - Which skills will worth more than others in the next 2 years? ... You can find pretty good answers, solid answers, to these questions if you think in terms of supply and demand. This book was the last book (sadly 🥺) in The Great Mental Models series by Shane Parrish. It delves into fundamental principles/laws/aspects of economics and art. And it presents them not only as laws, but as mental models to use in our day-to-day life. I loved the economics part more than art part. I got wiser by reading all 4 books in the series and would recommend it to anyone who likes to get closer to the reality of the world we live in and learn how to work with this reality in a much better way to get what he/she wants. Happy reading! 📙

view on x ↗Just got 340% ROI on #META stocks! Sold 100% of my Meta holdings minutes ago. I kept buying Meta in a period of 7 months back in 2022. Kept it for 24 months. The reasoning and approach? -> Value Investing: It’s business fundamentals were growing but it’s P/E ratio was half the industry average for online advertising businesses! For example Google was 21 at the time while Meta was at 12! Why I sold? The market has been bullish on Meta since 24 months. The p/e changed from 12 to 27. Market cap went from $300 billion to $1.4 trillion. While revenue changed from $116 billion to €156 billion. So in 24 months valuation more than quadrupled (366%) while revenue increased by 34%. My guess ? this frenzy can’t continue forever! The other reason? I am super happy that I managed to 4.4x my investment. Probably will tell this story for the rest of my life 😂
