why i built mailover

This one was later rewritten as an essay.read that version →

i felt exhausted every time i cleaned up my gmail inbox.

i kept asking myself:

why do i need to “clean up” anything? why its so hard to get emails out of an inbox? why so much noise? why so many decisions to organize my inbox?

after asking myself these questions many times… it finally annoyed me enough to get to work on a solution.

but i soon realized, we’ve already solved this problem, but only for a few people!

presidents don’t sit around reading all their emails.

CEOs don’t spend hours “cleaning up” their inboxes.

leaders don’t waste their attention digging noise, to find signal in their communications.

NO! their secretaries do!

but only a few people could afford secretaries to read all their emails, clean up their inboxes, and brief them on action items and highlights from their communications.

untill now!

i built unboxd.ai to make this luxury available to more people.

the luxury of having the option to save your attention for better things.

the luxury of not feeling decision fatigue after cleaning up an inbox.

the luxury of not worrying that you are missing an important email in the pile of noise that is inbox.

not anymore.

don’t read emails. don’t clean up inboxes. instead, delegate to an ai secretary.

it’s time to go from electronic mail, to intelligent mail. we have the technology.

a new email experience. an inboxless experience. an intelligent experience.

why inboxless? because inbox is the culprit. it was invented more than 50 years ago. and didn’t get much of an upgrade after internet became popular.

what is an inbox anyway? “an infinite list of items!”

that’s a horrible user experience idea, isn’t it?!

let me know what you think!

if you like it, upvote the app in product hunt to support the idea:

it’s iOS only for now.
