Fooled by Randomness

I had no idea that randomness can be the justification for so many different events in life and business.

The root of many superstitions that we have in different cultures is simply the result of being fooled by randomness.

Randomness is all about the alternative paths that exist and can happen. And it has a bigger influence on some professions like stock trading than others like dentistry. But we all experience it every day in our lives and we simply make some untrue inferences every single time.

Because it is not easy (and natural) for humans to understand concepts like statistical probabilities, we get fooled by randomness times and times again.

It was a thought-provoking and different read for me.

I recommend this first to stock traders, then to anyone who wants to create some awareness about the times that he/she is being fooled by randomness and his/her judgment becomes clouded as a result.
