open booksense →Do you know the difference between asset classes like stocks, funds, and bonds?
What about index funds and mutual funds?
Do you have 2 separate automated savings and investment accounts?
Do you know how to save tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars by taking care of your credit?
Well, I do now; thanks to this pleasantly educative and informative read on personal finance. I consider myself more financially literate now and also intrigued to read more on the subject.
This is a financial education that everyone must get early in high school or college.
It covers the basics of credit, banks, saving, investing, stock market, spending, and planning big purchases, and repay debt. It gives some recommendations and examples that are US-specific but the ideas and concepts can be applied to most countries. The topics presented in the book are very well connected and the financial advice given is mostly sound and arguments are reasonable and well structured.
I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. This is the book that must be read by everyone.
