Building Microservices

I had a limited view of microservices and SoA in general even though I had implemented this architecture and also currently working on such a system.

Designing software systems at scale raises many significant challenges that you have no chance of encountering if you deal with smaller audiences.

Microservices can be the answer for so many such cases. But this architecture can raise many more challenges of its own.

This book covers the fundamentals and principles of building microservices as a service-oriented architecture. Describing the characteristics and benefits of this architecture. In-depth discussions around main aspects of implementing microservices. Modeling services and splitting the monolith. Possible integration and coordination approaches. Testing, deployment, monitoring, and security concerns.

After reading this relatively comprehensive yet concise outlook I developed both a bigger vantage point and a more detailed view. Now, I feel more confident in my understanding of the world of microservices.
