Deep Work is about working in a focused state without distraction for long hours.

Deep Work can be your competitive advantage in your career path. Why? Because when you are in this deep state, you can learn better and faster. You also can produce more value in less time. And ultimately you will achieve more in your career as a result.

How? You can find the answer in the book. Just know that, almost every argument in the book is backed by science and research. I mean what else you can expect from a very productive Computer Science professor!

I see Deep Work as a best practice for achieving mastery in less time than normally takes for a software engineer in my industry to reach this level of competency.

This was a very nice follow up on his other book, So Good They Can’t Ignore you.

I already have his next book after this book on my shelf. Digital Minimalism.

Bottom line: I enjoyed it. But not as much as So Good Thay Can’t Ignore You. I don’t remember why!

Very much recommended to those who seek, mastery, work efficiency, productivity and more achievement in less time.
