Daniel Daneshi: engineering, product, leadership, self-mastery
Hi, I'm Daniel, a tool maker. By day I lead a software engineering team at Entirely; by night I build Mailover, an AI email client trying to cure the email hangover and win your attention back from the inbox noise. I write under @_generalkaizen about building, craft, and thinking.

The idea is kaizen: 1% better daily, compounding small edges in the product, the craft, and the body, over years. I care more about process than outcome, consistency than intensity, and evidence than confidence. I love building systems that solve everyday problems, and read up to 20 books a year, mostly non-fiction. Mute the world, and build your own.

Nobody knows which channel works for them. You do not find it by planning. You find it in reps.
Become a distronaut: a distribution explorer. A distronaut charts channels the way an astronaut charts space. Methodically, on a schedule, with a log.
Fourteen screens from the Distronaut iPhone app, in the order you meet them: the welcome screen, onboarding reading your site, the suggested Core 4 split, the hundred-day number, the nudge settings, the day's one action, a running session, the written action list, the studio drafting a post, the log sheet, the streak, the daily record calendar, one action's history, and the growth ledger.

deeply know who you are. deeply know what you want to do. then wake up every day and get after it, and stay in the game long enough to get lucky.

What I took from every book worth writing about: the argument in a paragraph, the lines I kept, and whether it earned the hours. Mostly non-fiction, roughly 20 a year.
